LTD Nursery & Landscaping Fertilizing Program

Fertilizer regulation: First application March 1, last November 30

*All dates are approximate. Read the label for instructions.

STEP 1: Crabgrass Prevention

March 15 – April 30

At cleanup, treat curb lines and sidewalk areas with Barricade spray

  • BARRICADE with or without FERTILIZER

    For split application of Dimension Crabgrass control, re-apply 6-9 weeks after initial application.

OR

APRIL 15 – May 15

  • DIMENSION with or without FERTIILZER

STEP 2: Weed Control

May 15 – June 15

FERTILIZER

  • Plus CONFRONT for commercial accounts
  • Plus Lockup with or without fertilizer for residential accounts
  • Treat any crabgrass breakthrough areas with Q4, DRIVE, or ACCLAIM spray – do not seed for 4 weeks.

STEP 3: Insect Control

June 15 – July 31

  • BIFENTHRIN with or without FERTILIZER: Surface Insects
  • MERIT with or without FERTILIZER: Sub Surface (by July 7)
  • ALLECTUS with or without FERTILIZER: (by July 7) Surface & Sub Surface
  • IMIDA-LAMBADA with FERTILIZER: (by July 7) Surface & Sub Surface
  • ACELEPRYN with or without FERTILIZER: Sub Surface

STEP 4: Fall Feeding

August 15 – October 15

  • *If seeding: LEVITT’S 18-22-10 with Iron, a controlled release fertilizer with high levels of Phosphorous for seed establishment. 50lbs covers 12,500 square feet.
  • *Not seeding: LEVITT’S 25-0-10 controlled release fertilizer for long-term greening. 50lbs covers 12,500 square feet.

STEP 5: Winterizer

October 1 – November 30

  • LEVITT’S 25-0-10 20% SCU 20% Nutralene, 20% BIO solidsTM

    A slow release fertilizer for quick green-up and extended feed. 50lbs covers 12,500 square feet.

OR

  • FERTILIZER with CONFRONT or LOCKUP:

    KILL WINTER ANNUALS!

Feed the turf and prevents weeds next spring, especially dandelions. Read label for coverage.
